Three different category bets. This page lays out where each tool wins on the buying-decision dimensions a real FinOps lead asks about — visibility, allocation, recommendations, and the part nobody else automates: executing the savings action safely.

Cost visibility (multi-cloud + SaaS + AI)

Vantage
Broad system of record across cloud, SaaS, and AI providers
Finout
Strong cloud + SaaS visibility, custom data sources
GetFinOps.cloud
AWS + GCP today; AI spend is line-item visible

Cost allocation (Virtual Tags / showback / chargeback)

Vantage
Allocation rules and views, but not the primary wedge
Finout
Virtual Tags engine is the flagship — most flexible on the market
GetFinOps.cloud
Out of scope — we deliberately do not compete here

AI-driven recommendations (idle EC2, unattached EBS, snapshots, RDS, etc.)

Vantage
Surfaces recommendations with savings estimates
Finout
Recommendations available, weaker than allocation story
GetFinOps.cloud
Same coverage + per-finding business-impact narrative

Execute the savings action against the cloud account

Vantage
Dashboard hands the recommendation back to the user to act on
Finout
Same — recommendation engine, not a remediation engine
GetFinOps.cloud
Approved actions execute via our agent; no copy-paste workflow

Approval workflow + blast-radius / spend-ceiling guardrails

Vantage
Out of scope — there is nothing to approve
Finout
Out of scope — there is nothing to approve
GetFinOps.cloud
Typed approvals, blast-radius limits, spend ceiling, kill switch

Pre- / post-action health check + automatic rollback

Vantage
No remediation, so no health checks needed
Finout
No remediation, so no health checks needed
GetFinOps.cloud
Health probe runs each side of the action; auto-rollback on regression

Realized-savings audit trail (per action, signed)

Vantage
Tracks projected savings in dashboards
Finout
Tracks projected savings, not per-action attestation
GetFinOps.cloud
Per-action audit log: who approved, what ran, what changed on the bill

Multi-tenant MSP / consultant console

Vantage
Customer-by-customer reporting
Finout
Customer-by-customer reporting
GetFinOps.cloud
Multi-customer roadmap; opportunistic during 30-day sprint

Why we built this lane instead of competing on visibility

Visibility and allocation are crowded, mature categories — Vantage and Finout are the right answers there, and we will happily live alongside them in a stack. The buyer pain we hear from MSPs and DevOps leads is different: the recommendations have been on the dashboard for weeks, sometimes months, but nobody has the bandwidth or the trust to apply them. Idle EC2 stays running. Unattached EBS stays attached to nothing. Stale snapshots compound.

FinOps AI is the operator that takes those recommendations across the finish line: typed approvals, blast-radius checks, spend ceilings, a kill switch, pre- and post-action health probes, and a signed audit trail per action. Vantage shows every dollar. Finout allocates every dollar. We remove the wasted ones — safely.
